The Child’s Voice

I discovered the pleasure of reading at age six, when I walked into a library for the first time (“I can really take these home?”)

By middle school, I dreamed of writing and sharing my voice. I’ve written a few short stories, which remain unpublished, and was a journalist in a previous lifetime. Now, I look to finding my voice again.

The challenge about picking up a new endeavor as an adult -whether it’s a new sport or an art – is that you’ve developed the fear of failure.

As I pour my heart and soul into this story, a work of fiction that I’ll speak more about in future posts, I know that I have to approach it with the spirit of my child self: brave, adventurous and full of hope.
